What Are We?
NOT DEER MAGAZINE'S GOAL
Constructed in 2021 by Editor-in-Chief Rowan Bagley, Not Deer Magazine was envisioned as an arts magazine by and for marginalized creators specializing in horror. Longtime readers and writers of the scary and surreal, we saw the need for more platforms within the horror community that elevate marginalized voices.
Who Are We?
THE FACES BEHIND THE MAGAZINE

Rowan Bagley
(they/she)
EDITOR-IN-CHIEF, PROSE EDITOR
Rowan earned her BFA at UMaine Farmington in 2020. Their writing focuses on the rural gothic, rot, and feral women. She makes a mean spaghetti, doesn't know how to fold a fitted sheet, and would fight a bear for some Cabot Extra Sharp Cheddar cheese. They currently live in Vermont with their girlfriend and two cats. Follow her @rowanbaggins on Twitter or Instagram.

Thandiwe Andrade-Foster
(she/her)
CO-EDITOR, PROSE EDITOR
Thandiwe earned her BFA in Creative Writing and English at UMaine Farmington in 2020. She writes fiction, poetry, and personal essays often falling under the themes of longing, connection, and identity. She enjoys passing her free-time stargazing, sipping hot cocoa, and ruminating over pirate flicks. Follow her @andradefoster on Twitter.

Taylor Rossics
(she/they)
CO-EDITOR, POETRY EDITOR
Taylor stole a BFA from UMaine Farmington. They write about the discomfort that comes with having a body, love gone sour, and ladies who hurt your feelings. Their work can be found several places, but some of their favorites are in littledeathlit, Postscript Magazine, and Fresh.Ink online. Taylor likes micropoetry and beer and she doesn’t trust horses one bit. Follow her on twitter via @taylorrossics.
