a winter place, Omar Zahzah
where trees bear flickering lamps
where home is always that much farther
where sleep is the bread you break
tomorrow a sunken bone
where spiders weave silence
where trees thread silence
where home won’t leave
where sleep bears mold
tomorrow buried over
where silence winds over
spiders, and over
trees, and home.
